Music, a gift and a blessing from God, has played a very important role in Catholic Liturgy for the past two thousand years. Saint Augustine said, "He who sings prays twice." Here at Sacred Heart Church we are blest to have talented singers and musicians who have truly embraced the belief that the purpose of music in the liturgy is to lead the congregation in praise of God through song.
The Traditional Choir, leads the congregation in worship at the 10:00 a.m. liturgy.

This group helps lead the singing at the Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart. This is an important ministry to aid those grieving at the loss of a loved one.
In the fall of 2010, we added a Sunday evening Mass at 6:00 p.m. with a contemporary choir. It involves various musical instruments and includes guitars, drums and keyboard.
Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Please call the office and you will be put in touch with the choir director.
A collaboration of band and choir, the worship team leads the parish in contemporary music, drawing from artists such as Matt Maher, Chris Tomlin and Hillsong worship. The worship team aims to always reach the hearts of the parishioners with beautiful songs that praise our God and His glory, and encourage all participants in the Mass to lift their voices.
If you are interested in singing with the choir, you can contact Ben Arruda, or simply come out to a practice Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm.
